Another method is mind mapping. This uses a diagram to show links between subjects and can help you to see the broad structure of your topic.

  1. Write your main topic in the middle of a large sheet of paper.

  2. Write down ideas about this topic around the circle.

  3. Write down sub points for each idea.

  4. Connect the related points.

  5. Notes can also be written for each sub point.
