Footnoting previously cited sources
- It is not necessary to provide full descriptions of sources after the first reference.
- A system of Latin abbreviations is used for second and later citations.
If the next work that you cite from is the same source as the one immediately preceding it, the Latin abbreviation "ibid.", meaning "in the same place", is used in the footnote.
